Prince William Forest Park
The Prince William Forest Park is in the eastern portion of the county. Established in 1936, it covers 15,000 acres and is the largest protected natural area in the Washington, D.C. region.
Manassas National Battlefield
Located north of Manassas in Prince William County, the Manassas National Battlefield Park is the site of 2 major American Civil War battles: the First Battle of Manassas and the Second Battle of Manassas. These battles are also commonly referred to as the first and second battles of Bull Run. b>Sports The region is home to a variety of sports teams including The Potomac Nationals, Minor League Baseball team and the Northern Virginia Royals, a American minor league soccer team.
