Virginia Beach
In the late 19th Century, Virginia Beach was a small resort area. It was incorporated as a town in 1906 and became a city in 1952. The Guinness Book of World Records notes that the city is home to the world's longest pleasure beach. Check out the statue of Neptune, god of the sea when you stroll the 3 mile oceanfront boardwalk.
